The dragon fire board game - This is a board game like any other with the exception that it has an educational component. It can be played by two students or two groups of students either at home or in the classroom. It starts off when two opposing teams place two chips on the 'start' positions. Players toss a coin to see who will begin the game. Students then take turns rolling the dice, pulling out cards and answering questions. There are several determinants in the game; the outcome of the dice determines how many places players have to move, cards are shuffled and turned face down; pulling out any card means that students can be confronted with questions from any topic. In addition, the board contains many obstacles as players move along; the most difficult is being burnt by the dragon's fire. N.B. this game is played with cards that can be downloaded from the "cards" menu above. This game is for reviewing social studies skills studied in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th grades.
